Every year Remuera fields teams in the many competitions that squash has to offer.
Squash Auckland have three Senior and Masters Interclub competitions, Autumn, Winter and Spring. RRC is one of the largest and strongest in the Auckland District as well as in New Zealand and the club figures prominently both in number of teams and in competitive performance.
We have a proud record of top players in our history. Too many to name individually, however, in the feature National Club Teams Event – the Mitchell Cup for women Remuera has won the much coveted trophy 29 times in the 60 year history of the event, far more than any other club in NZ.
The mens’ equivalent is the Cousins Shield, in which we have also had our share of success. Since its inception in 1947 we have held the title 12 times and been finalists on countless occasions.
Masters squash continues to grow in popularity. It is very competitive but also very social.
Remuera has one of the strongest Junior Clubs in Auckland!
Numbers have increased considerably in recent years and the depth of standard is also worthy of note. We have a great junior coaching program under the guidance of our Head Coach, former International and National Coach, Paul Wright.
Many juniors compete in the Sunday morning interclub which is held during the winter months., while the higher graded players take part in the senior competition.
Juniors also have a busy club night. Every Friday, except in the holidays, sees many juniors coming along for some fun squash and generally a good social time. While the juniors enjoy their squash the parents often enjoy a beverage from our members lounge and get to watch from the bleachers upstairs.

Remuera Rackets is not all about competitive players. Every Thursday night is Club Night which a very popular evening. It’s a great way to meet future playing partners and simply meeting new people.
In the off season which is at the end of the year, the club holds a popular Business House Competition which is a heap of fun! We also have an 'Online Ladder' which was started early this year. It is well supported at the beginning of the year and end when competition has finished.
